Aomori Public University campus is located 9 kilometres south of Aomori City. There are excellent public transport services to and from the city, with easy access from the city centre to our campus.
By Air:
From: Sapporo (flight time: 50 minutes)
Tokyo (flight time: 75 minutes)
Nagoya (Komaki) (flight time: 85 minutes)
Osaka (Itami) (flight time: 90 minutes)
Kobe (flight time: 100 minutes)
Upon arrival, take the airport shuttle bus to the city centre for the connecting bus to the university campus.
By Shinkansen (bullet train – JR: Tohoku / Hokkaido Shinkansen):
From: Tokyo Station to Shin-Aomori Station (travel time: approximately 3 hours)
Shin-Hakodate-Hokuto Station to Shin-Aomori Station (travel time: approx. 1 hour)
Upon arrival, take a train from Shin-Aomori Station to Aomori Train Station for the connecting bus, or a taxi to the university campus.
Getting to campus (from Aomori City)
There are excellent public transport services linking Aomori City to our University Campus.
By bus:
From: Aomori Train/Bus Station: Take the Aomori City Bus from platform/gate no. 4, or JR Tohoku Bus from platform/gate no.1, bound for Aomori Koritsu Daigaku (青森公立大学)/ Moya Hills (モヤヒルズ). Get off at Aomori Koritsu Daigaku Mae bus stop (青森公立大学前バス停).

By car/taxi:
From: Aomori Train Station [25 minutes/ 3500 yen]
Shin-Aomori Train Station [35 minutes/ 4000 yen]

By bike:
Travel time is approximately 90 minutes from the city centre. Bikes are available to rent for a small charge from the bike hub at the Station (please speak to the station personnel for more information)
